The Author was Chris Kyle and he wrote this book Because it was his life story and he was the one who wanted to write it. And he wanted to give credit where it was do, in his life story. This writing is going to cover two main questions. The first question is what was the authors life like and the second question is why did he write this book and what where his opinions on the book. And so lets start off with the Author's life story. Chris was born and raised in Texas and he was raised up with the hunter and farmer life style. He also enjoyed riding bulls and horses to give himself a challenge. He also had a younger brother that joined the marines when Chris became a SEAL. But Chris only wanted to join the military after he got sick of college and wanted to do something exciting. He was first looking at being a Ranger or a Marine but then he was convinced to try and become a SEAL after he talked to a navy recruiter. Now lets move on to what Chris actually thought of his book and why he wrote the book. So Chris states that the only reason that he wrote the book is because he knew that his story was going to be put on paper so he thought "If it is going to be written then at least let me do it" And so the main reasons he actually wrote the book was to make sure the story was true and to make sure credit gose to where credit was do. Because Chris himself acknowledged the fact that he could not have gotten through what he had gotten through alone, and without a bit of luck to go along with him(Chris Kyle, The American Sniper).
